Biography

LEAH is a French-Brazilian artist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist (vocals, percussion, flute), born in Paris in 2002. With a diverse heritage and having grown up between France, Brazil, and Spain, she developed a nomadic relationship with the world where cultures, languages, and rhythms naturally intersect.

From an early age, music was central to her life. At six, she entered a conservatory and studied classical music for ten years, exploring piano, violin, acoustic guitar, and flute. Percussion, however, became her primary language. Literally born into drums, LEAH first stepped on stage at the age of ten at the Cabaret Sauvage in Paris as a percussionist with Zalindê, an all-female Afro-Brazilian percussion orchestra founded and directed by her mother. Following in her parents’ footsteps, she collaborates annually on their project “Afro Trip”, a socio-musical and cultural journey to Salvador de Bahia, where she acts as a translator, manager and musical advisor.

At seventeen, while living in Mallorca, LEAH wrote her first song. Writing quickly became an inner necessity: words and melodies emerged as a form of release, a way to transform the intimate into a shared vibration. Polyglot and eclectic, she composes in French, Brazilian Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Through poetry, her words move you both emotionally and physically, reflecting the constant movement of life. Her music, influenced by pop, MPB, neo-soul, and Latin rhythms, blends vocal harmonies and traditional grooves in an aesthetic she describes as World Pop.

Through Zalindê, LEAH has performed on numerous stages across France and Europe, sharing the stage with artists such as Ibrahim Maalouf, -M-, Melody Gardot, and Camille. She has taken part in television appearances, the recording of a film soundtrack, and concerts in iconic venues including the Accor Arena and the Olympia. In parallel, she teaches Brazilian percussion to students of all ages.

After returning to Paris in 2021, she released her first EP, CONFIDENCE, a sensitive introduction to her artistic universe, followed by other singles and collaborations. A recipient of a merit scholarship, she is currently pursuing a degree in Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She is actively involved in the community as a member of the Berklee Music Directors Association (BMDA), a volunteer assistant engineer for the school’s ensembles, and a personal assistant for a neurodivergent Berklee artist. She performs regularly at Berklee events and has notably appeared at the Berklee Performance Center (BPC).

Today, LEAH is developing a new project of original compositions and shaping the musical and artistic direction of her upcoming show. She will perform across Europe this summer, presenting music from her forthcoming EP, PRIMA-VERA, with the first singles set for release in the spring.
